History

Cosby Big LoVE Committee was formed to bring a day of entertainment to the village on Victory Park following a long spell of no such event since the demise of the Gala committee. After a four year wait of no other people wanting to organize such an event, William Donaghue created Cosby Big Love in 2004.  The event was a small gathering of villagers who played music on a hand built stage.  This was not only a small success but a huge inspiring moment.  After the event William approached Mrs.Janet Forey (organizer of previous village events) and set about lobbying the Village Hall Committee for support.  In 2005 It was decided that as an important VE day anniversary was fast approaching, this would then be theme for the 2005 event.  Ideas progressed and evolved and the rededication of the appropriately named Victory Park became the next event in 2006. Ideas got bigger and grander, a Prom would becoming to Cosby, starring the magnificent Band of the Parachute Regiment.
